Upon arrival at the former Palais de Justice for the Métiers d’art 2022/23 CHANEL – DAKAR fashion show, guests were treated to a performance of choreographer Dimitri Chamblas’ collective dance project, « Slow Show », in collaboration with Germaine Acogny, a leading figure in African dance, and performed by dancers from her school, the École des Sables.
The Métiers d’art 2022/23 CHANEL – DAKAR fashion show marks the beginning of an ongoing exchange between the House and Senegal. This event bears witness to Virginie Viard’s artistic approach: meeting, dreaming and building together, with others.
