KPAAF
KPAAF (KAREN PRITZKER ACADEMY OF ART & FASHION) is a private professional training center that focuses on providing higher and professional level education with a scientific and technical approach.
It is an integral part of the FONDATION MINA and operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
KPAAF has its own legal personality, assets, and autonomy in managing its resources in accordance with the legislation and regulations applicable to private training centers. KPAAF is directly responsible for maintaining order and organizing social and cultural life within its premises.
Within its premises, KPAAF ensures the inviolability of fundamental freedoms, promotes the development of science, technology, and technology, and contributes to the training and development of the nation’s elites.
MISSIONS
The missions of KPAAF
The missions of KPAAF include, but are not limited to:
- Providing continuous training in the fields of sewing and fashion, hairdressing and aesthetics, tourism, hospitality, and catering, with a focus on enhancing opportunities for qualified training and facilitating employability for young people.
- Contributing to the establishment of a coherent mechanism for funding training and promoting employment for yo ung people.
- Strengthening the partnership between education and youth employment and promoting youth employment.
- Participating in the development and promotion of research in these fields.
- Contributing to the socioeconomic development of the country by aligning training with the needs of the labor market.
- Developing exchanges and cooperation with other professional training centers, capacity-building institutions, as well as national and international public and private educational and research institutions.
- Engaging in the development and promotion of cultural, sports, and socio-educational activities for the country’s youth.
- Contributing to improved communication and better coordination of initiatives for youth employment.
- Encouraging entrepreneurial spirit and culture, and promoting self-employment among young people through training and support for the creation of youth-owned businesses.
TRAINING PATHS KPAAF
TRAINING PATHS KPAAF focuses its training programs on FIVE (5) main fields, namely:
• Fashion and Fashion Industry
• Beauty and Wellness • Hotel and Catering
• Tourism and Travel
• Applied Languages (English).
Within each of these fields, primarily professional training programs are offered and are awarded qualification titles based on the overall hourly volume completed during training activities (theory and practice).
Having officially won the title of organizer of the MISS-GUINEE contest (2023-2024), through a call for tenders launched by the ministry in charge of culture, tourism and handicrafts, the Miss Guinea Organizing Committee (COOMISGUI) under the aegis of the department in charge of culture held a press briefing this Friday, January 20, 2023. The aim was to announce the activities of the next national beauty pageant in Guinea.
