The “Conversations” exhibition, organized by Africa Collectors & Collections, celebrates contemporary African art.
It’s hosted at the Mona Lisa Gallery in Paris from July 2 to 27, 2024.
This unique event invites visitors to explore African art in all its forms, featuring renowned artists and collectors from Cameroon, France, and Togo.

On June 2, 2024, a press release announced the creation of a new entity.
This entity primarily consists of professional representatives (lawyers registered with the Paris and Cameroon Bar Associations, as well as a notary in Paris) and political figures (Deputy Mayors from Metz, Montrouge, and Montmagny).
Some of them have also been or are currently members of EFRACAM, an association of elected officials in France of Cameroonian origin or nationality.
EDC: Founding Members
President: Dr. Marie Claude Edjang, lawyer at the Paris and Cameroon Bar Associations, a professional elected official.
1st Vice President: Mrs. Gertrude Ngo Kaldjob, metropolitan councilor at Euro Metropolis of Metz, Deputy Mayor—politically elected official.
2nd Vice President: Me Sorelle Bègue-Buchert, notary in Paris, expert member of the International Commission of the Paris Chamber of Notaries, responsible for Cameroon, President of the Opéra Art Endowment Fund, professional elected official.
Secretary: Dr. Patrice Ondoua, political scientist, Deputy Mayor of Montrouge, political elected official.
Assistant Secretary: Prof. Jean-Pierre Yetna, professor of literature and philosophy, Deputy Mayor of Montmagny, a political elected official.
Treasurer: Me Caline Kontchou Kamya, lawyer at the Paris and Cameroon Bar Associations, Vice President of the International Bar Association of Cameroon, a professional elected official.

The theme of the exhibition is ‘Conversations.
The ‘Conversations’ exhibition, organized by Africa Collectors & Collections, allows us to express, through our words and choices, one of our conceptions of contemporary art in general and African art in particular.
It also aims to showcase the talent and creativity of young and established artists from all backgrounds to the wider public, as well as promote women’s empowerment in the art world for an inclusive and sustainable society.

Francis Mbella, a Cameroonian humanist painter, employs the innovative Tapioca technique to explore the subjectivity of reality.
Made Jong
Made Jong, a Cameroonian stylist and painter, uses tree bark in her creations, combining traditional craftsmanship with recycled materials.

Galerie Mona Lisa
Galerie Mona Lisa is an art gallery located at 32 rue de Varenne in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
It offers a selection of contemporary works by various artists.
In a sober, uncluttered setting, visitors can discover paintings, sculptures and photographs representative of contemporary art.
The gallery was founded by Arnaud Romic, who discovered great talents in naive art from the former Yugoslavia, such as Rabuzin, Lackovic, Generalic and many others.
In 1961, the gallery organised an exhibition by Francis Picabia, followed by other great painters of the Dada movement such as G. Malkine, Delaunay, Masson, etc.
Today, the gallery exhibits new contemporary talent in painting, sculpture and photography.
It has positioned itself as a meeting place for artists and the public, encouraging the dissemination and promotion of contemporary art.
