Hopium is a French company focused on developing high-end hydrogen-powered vehicles.
Founded in 2019 by Olivier Lombard, a former racecar driver who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Hopium aims to revolutionize the mobility sector with its innovative hydrogen technology.
The company’s flagship vehicle, the Hopium Machina Vision, is a luxury hydrogen-powered car designed to offer a blend of performance, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology.
The Machina Vision features a full-size screen for both driver and passenger, a haptic console, and a panoramic view for rear passengers.
Olivier Lombard initially served as the CEO of Hopium, leveraging his extensive experience in hydrogen race cars to drive the company’s vision.
However, as of December 2022, Sylvain Laurent took over as CEO. Laurent has a strong background in engineering and has held key positions at IBM, PCO Technologies, and Dassault Systèmes.
His leadership is expected to further Hopium’s mission of democratizing hydrogen electric transportation
