COOMISGUI – Selection Criteria for the Future Miss Guinea 2023
Press conference to announce the details of the Miss Guinea 2023 pageant
COOMISGUI officially launched its activities on March 11, 2023, unveiling at the same time the selection criteria for the future Miss Guinea 2023!
At a press conference held on this occasion, KPAAF, the new structure in charge of organizing the 2023 edition of the Miss Guinea pageant, met with journalists to present the details of this new edition that has been entrusted to it.
Madame Aminata Diallo, General Manager of KPAAF, announced that the main objective of the contest is to ‘promote physical and intellectual beauty, taking into account ethics, conformity and transparency’.
Miss GUINEE 2023
The Miss Guinée 2023 competition is organized by the Committee for the Organization of Miss Guinea (COOMISGUI ) and will be held in November 25 2023.
The competition will feature 24 candidates, including some from the Guinean diaspora.
The competition has already held pre-selections in different regions of Guinea
The new Organizing Committee of the Miss Guinee national beauty pageant (COOMISGUI), for which Madame Aminata Diallo have the heavy responsibility of serving as President, is committed to fulfilling all its commitments and becoming an institution that will showcase Guinean beauty through the « Branding Guinea » project.
That is why COOMISGUI strongly solicits the support of everyone to come together and celebrate Guinean beauty.
The selection criteria for this new edition
During the ceremony, Madame Diaka Camara, KPAAF‘s Communications Director, unveiled the selection criteria for this new edition, which include in particular:
Be of Guinean nationality.
Be registered as a woman.
Be between 17 and 26 years of age.
Not be married or have had children.
Be at least 1m70 tall.
Have a natural complexion, without depigmentation.
Have at least a high school diploma.
No piercings or tattoos, with the exception of normal earrings.
Not to have had plastic surgery, in order to give preference to natural-looking candidates.
These criteria will be taken into account when selecting candidates for this year’s Miss Guinea contest.

The First Lady of the Republic of Guinea, Mrs. Lauriane Doumbouya, accepted with honor to be the official godmother of Miss Guinea.
A delegation from COOMISGUI, comprising the First Vice-President, Ms Kaba Lynn Touré, the Director of Ethics and Compliance, Ms Hann Moudatou Bah, and the Director of Communications and Public Relations, Ms Diaka Camara, was received at Palais M5 yesterday, July 28, 2023, to discuss this future collaboration.
Indeed, on July 28, 2023, a delegation from COOMISGUI, represented by the First Vice-President, Mrs. Kaba Lynn Touré, the Director of Ethics and Compliance, Mrs. Hann Moudatou Bah, and the Director of Communication and Public Relations, Mrs. Diaka Camara, was received at the M5 Palace by the First Lady to discuss the future collaboration for Miss Guinee 2023.
The chosen theme for this year, « Empowering Women to Combat Irregular Migration, » is at the heart of her concerns.
The first Lady, Lauriane Doumbouya has therefore decided to be present and support COOMISGUI in its objective to enhance the image of young Guinean women.

The planned period for Miss Guinée 2023
The planned period for carrying out all activities, including planning, organization, management and execution, is from March 10 to June 30, 2023, i.e. a total duration of 110 days.
The selection points are as follows: Kindia, Mamou, Labé, Kankan, Faranah, N’zérékoré and the special zone of Conakry.

The committee claims that her participation aims to promote Miss Guinea‘s values of inclusion and diversity.
However, some Internet users are questioning the coherence of this justification, pointing to inconsistencies in the preparations and the late announcement of her participation.

- 1st runner-up (2nd prize), one year of professional training coverage in a neighboring country (10,000 dollars), one year of luxury apartment rental coverage (3 million/month), coverage of utility expenses (electricity and water), monthly bonus of 2 million, coverage of a holiday pack worth 1,500 dollars, an African outfit offered by KPAAF/month, and a one-year treatment contract after the election.
