The brand “Houm Nou” is the creation of the young Malian stylist and tailor, Nouhoum Koné. Established in January 2019, Houm’Nou aims to promote our local fabrics, including Bogolan, woven pagne, and others.
Since its inception, the brand has been dedicated to enhancing traditional Malian fabrics, such as Bogolan, koba fini, Dogon pagne, and textiles from various ethnic groups. The goal is to revalue these fabrics so that Malians can consume locally. This effort enables Malian stylists, artisans, and cultural actors, whether near or far, to sustain themselves through their talents.
Houm’Nou has graced national and international runways since 2014, participating in events like:
- Fraty Mode Lomé 2017
- Paris Fashion Tour 1 Ouaga 2020
- Abobo Fashion Art Abidjan 2022
