PFW – PARIS FASHION WEEK
KIDILL SS25 Paris Fashion Week
In the serene setting of the Expiatory Chapel and its garden, Kidill unveiled its new Spring/Summer 2025 collection, titled ‘999’, featuring 30 unique looks during Men’s Paris Fashion Week.
Hiroaki Suesayu, the designer behind Kidill
Hiroaki Suesayu, the designer behind Kidill, drew inspiration from his encounter with the musical duo Ho99o9, consisting of OGM and Yeti Bonnes.
Suesayu remarked, “I was impressed by the energy and attitude that emanate from their styles.”
This marks the first time the designer has created a collection inspired by individuals.
The essence of “Tokyo-ness’‘
The collection captures the essence of “Tokyo-ness” as seen through the musicians, blending it with street style influences from Harajuku, particularly “Lolita” fashion.
The Impact of Japanese Culture
The Impact of Japanese Culture: Sueyasu’s design philosophy is deeply influenced by his Japanese heritage, especially his experiences in the dynamic Uraharajuku scene of the 1990s.
This period, characterized by a harmonious fusion of music, fashion, and various subcultures, profoundly shaped his approach to fashion.”
Deconstructed pieces from vintage metal t-shirts
Suesayu further enriches his collection with deconstructed pieces from vintage metal t-shirts, a shoulder bag featuring surprising textures of tattered and eroded fabrics, sleeveless suit jackets, and vintage suit pants crafted by tailors.
Additionally, the collection includes sports jackets and game t-shirts created in collaboration with UMBRO.
