The jury will consist of four renowned tattoo artists: Filip Leu, Luke Atkinson, Kari Barba, and Mark Mahoney.

One of the highlights of the convention is, of course, the tattoo competitions.

Twenty-four awards will be presented by the guest tattoo artist, Junko Shimada.

These include prizes for the best small and medium piece, the best chest or back tattoo, and the best full-body tattoo. A new addition this year is an award for the best booth.

The trophies have been specially designed for the convention by the famous Tin-Tin and will feature a rooster’s head.

 

Mark Mahoney

 

An iconic American tattoo artist, often hailed as the founding father of black and grey art using a single needle. He owns the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood and has tattooed numerous celebrities, including Lady Gaga and David Beckham.

 

Kari Barba

A trailblazing female tattoo artist and owner of Outer Limits Tattoo, the oldest tattoo shop in the United States. Tattooing since 1979, she is renowned for her illustrative realism style.

 

Junko Shimada

A celebrated Japanese fashion designer based in Paris. She has her own clothing brand and has designed outfits for celebrities like Lady Gaga and the Japanese team for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

 

Filip Leu

A legendary tattoo artist from the Leu family, known for his innovative and detailed tattoo work. He co-founded the Leu family’s Family Iron tattoo studio in Switzerland.

 

Luke Atkinson

 

While there are several notable individuals with this name, one prominent figure is Luther “Luke” Atkinson, a Negro League Baseball player who made significant contributions to the sport during the era of segregation.

* As soon as the event opens at the Grande Halle de la Villette, it will still be possible to buy your ticket online for priority access to the site or in person (physical ticketing). Ticket prices for visitors aged 12 to 16 will remain unchanged.
