Patron for this edition: Rachida KHAOUT

From Ivry Town Hall to Representing African Diasporasure de Gestion de Paris, Rachida KAAOUT is a seasoned consultant specializing in business strategies, public affairs, and communication. Her journey in public service began with her election in 2020 in Ivry-sur-Seine, followed by her candidacy in the 2022 legislative elections for the 9th constituency of French citizens abroad (North and West Africa). She later withdrew in favor of Élisabeth Moreno, the LREM-endorsed candidate.

Driven by a commitment to strengthen ties between diasporas and their countries of origin, Rachida founded the Haut Commissariat aux Diasporas Africaines de France (HCDAF). This initiative aims to elevate the recognition of African diasporas and their contributions. Her vision is clear: “To write the history of these communities seeking acknowledgment.”

Rachida embodies a new generation of leaders—ambitious, entrepreneurial, and deeply engaged. Having worked with major organizations like L’Oréal and Bernard Tapie, she champions a humanist France. Rejecting pessimistic views on migration policies, she asserts: “France is not a racist country. When you love your country, you don’t flee because of marginalization.”

Lauriane Pascale Allaglo Segbefia, originally from Togo, is a visionary leader and advocate for African culture. Professionally, she is an accomplished account manager, but her passion lies in fashion and community empowerment.
Inspired by her grandmother, Nana Wax, Lauriane developed a deep connection to African fashion from a young age, growing up immersed in its vibrant traditions and aesthetics.

In 2017, Lauriane founded the Waxfashion Association, an organization dedicated to celebrating Afro culture through fashion events and initiatives like ZE DEFILE.
Her mission is twofold: to spotlight African creativity on the global stage and to support emerging talents who embody the richness of Afrocentric design.

Waxfashion’s Unique Impact

Waxfashion goes beyond fashion by incorporating a philanthropic vision. Lauriane ensures that 30% of the profits from the association’s events are channeled into social projects, benefiting African communities.
This approach makes Waxfashion not just a platform for cultural expression but also a force for positive change.

Lauriane‘s commitment to promoting African heritage while fostering new talents has solidified her position as a trailblazer in the industry.

Through her work, she continues to inspire and empower communities, preserving the legacy of African fashion and elevating it to new heights.
