MAD is a Visual Artist

MAD is a visual artist whose work is inspired by pop art, street art, and abstract expressionism, creating a unique and impactful artistic identity.

Women play a central role in her creations, as MAD uses the female form as a means to explore a wide spectrum of emotions, embedding her own inner states within her art. The women in her paintings become mirrors of intensity, strength, and vulnerability, transforming the canvas into a deeply emotional narrative.

To give her characters depth and life, MAD begins by working meticulously with textures and materials.
She integrates humble elements like fabric, cardboard, or even earth, along with acrylics, to craft an initial « skin. » This foundation adds layers of opacity, relief, transparency, and luminosity, creating a vivid and tactile presence on the canvas.

Her creative process then brings her works to life with vibrant colors and mixed techniques such as dripping, shain pull, and graffiti.

This award, presented by Georges Lévy, the exhibition curator, and his assistant Anabelle Bayart, marked a significant milestone in her artistic journey.

Marie Anne Dechamp received the 1° Internationnal Prize DONNATELLO curated by Salvatore Russo & Francesco Saverio Russo during her exhibition at Borghese Palace, Italy, held from January, 21th 2023.
